Howe Confident

The Slough Observer reports

Britwell residents have realised that without the proposed football stadium for Slough Town Football Club, there will be no regeneration project, says project manager, Christine Howe.

Some people made there voices heard at last week's Britwell Parish Council Meeting, but the person in charge of the pre-feasibility stage understands that the Stadium goes with the Regeneration Project.

She said: “I think it’s fair to say that the majority of people are open minded at the moment. They know we have not got the details to tell them, but they understand that.

“People are beginning to understand that the football stadium does go hand in hand with the regeneration and they have moved their way of thinking.”

Ms Howe has said that she has been in contact with the Slough Town Supporters Association (STSA) secretary, Chris Sliski (right) to ask how the football club would like to receive updates.

She said "I have set up a group, which is best known as the Kennedy Park Consultation Group belonging to the local organisations representing the local church, the allotments and the residents association. I will use them as my ‘try it out’ group.

The current stage is now when details are made public, to set up how the feasibility study begins and the people working on it can construct their work.
